PhamaJet Inc. (Golden,CO.) has completed a clinical study using its novel, needle-free, FDA-approved jet injection device in comparison to needle and syringe for the administration of rabies vaccine. According to Dr. Daniel Perlman, Principal Investigator, 100% of the volunteers achieved protective immunity, and the study demonstrated the device to be safe and easy to use. Rabies remains a significant public health issue, causing about 50,000 deaths annually globally.
