Colorado to Celebrate Selection as Patent Office Location

Bennet, Hickenlooper, Members of Congressional Delegation, Local Officials, Business Leaders Mark Effort to Bring Satellite Office to Colorado

Denver, CO – July 2, at 11 a.m., at University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet will be joined by Governor John Hickenlooper, Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock, members of Colorado’s congressional delegation, local officials and key business leaders to celebrate Colorado's selection as one of three locations for a satellite patent office by the U.S. Department of Commerce.
 
The satellite office in Colorado is expected to bring hundreds of direct jobs and even more indirect jobs, as well as lead to economic activity totaling $440 million over the first five years of operation.
