Lisa Drake is Team Lead for State and Local Government Affairs for Monsanto, managing the company's state government affairs and community relations teams in 50 U.S. states and Puerto Rico. Lisa also chairs the Council for Biotechnology Information State Relations Committee and is a Board member for Colorado BioSciences Association. Prior to working in Monsanto Government Affairs, Lisa was Director of Public Affairs for Monsanto's Agricultural Sector, managing global media relations and issues management for the company's leading herbicide, Roundup herbicide, and several of its biotechnology seeds businesses. Lisa works in Englewood, CO and was born in Boulder. Her B.A. is in technical journalism from Colorado State University. She has worked for Monsanto for 23 years, and prior to that worked for two trade associations in California, and served as a reporter for several daily and weekly newspapers in Colorado, Mississippi and Alabama.
