MembershipEach member of the Colorado BioScience Association is a voting member. Board of DirectorsThe Board is comprised of 35 members from the industry, research institutions and service providers. Pursuant to the by-laws of the organization the Board must have a majority of members from the industry and one third of the terms of the members expire each year. The Board is responsible for setting policy, financial oversight and appointment of committees to advance the work of the Association. The Board of Directors meets quarterly. Executive CommitteeThe Executive Committee has eleven members (five from the industry, three from research institutions and three service providers). The Executive Committee provides direct operational oversight of the Association. Nominating CommitteeThe Nominating Committee has four members and is charged with presenting a slate of nominees to the members annually to fill vacancies on the Board of Directors. Location: CBSA Offices, 1625 Broadway, Suite 950
Communications CommitteeThe Communications Committee is responsible for promoting the industry by facilitating positive news stories with regional media contacts; publishing the quarterly news letter and the annual BioScience Magazine; as well as building support for the Colorado BioScience Association’s initiatives. Finance and Audit CommitteeThe Finance and Audit Committee oversee the annual audit for the association and monitors the monthly expenditures and revenues. Location: CBSA Offices, 1625 Broadway, Suite 950
Government Relations and Public AffairsThe Government Relations and Public Affairs Committee is responsible for educating, reaching out to and advocating before Colorado’s elected officials, state and federal governmental agencies and the media. These target audiences benefit from CBSA’s work because they gain greater understanding about the industry as they are making decisions that influence the business environment in Colorado Location: CBSA Offices, 1625 Broadway, Suite 950
Programs and EventsThe Programs and Events Committee is responsible for developing seminars, forums and other educational programs in the Front Range area, including the monthly Bio Breakfasts at Fitzsimons, Longmont Life Science Thursday, and Bioscience Larimer County. The committee organizes presentations that meet specific information needs of the industry and programs that inform broader audiences about the importance and value of the biosciences industry in Colorado Location: CBSA Offices, 1625 Broadway, Suite 950
Technology Transfer and ResearchThe Technology Transfer and Research Committee provides an organized point of contact and discussion forum for Colorado’s research institutions to coordinate with the bioscience industry Location: CBSA Offices, 1625 Broadway, Suite 950
