The Canadian Trade Commissioner Service is the first stop in finding Canadian solutions to the challenges faced by local organizations: assistance in sourcing from Canada, building your business in Canada and networking with Canada. The Canadian Trade Commissioners working with the Rocky Mountain Region of the United States are stationed at the Consulate General of Canada in Denver’s office. The Canadian Consulate General in Denver, Colorado is part of a network of Canadian Government representation in the United States, which includes the Canadian Embassy in the Washington DC, ten Consulates General and three Canadian Consulate Trade Offices. While the Embassy is responsible for the overall bilateral relationship with the United States, the Consulates General operate in specific areas in the US. The UK Trade & Investment office in Denver closed on November 17th. All UK Trade & Investment matters for the Colorado region are now managed by the UK Trade & Investment team at the British Consulate General in Chicago. The Northern Ireland Technology and Development Center in Denver is the only foreign government office in Colorado devoted exclusively to international trade. They focus on linking Colorado companies with Northern Ireland companies for the purpose of increasing business for both parties. The goal isn't to just have Colorado companies move to Northern Ireland or vice versa but is to form partnerships between companies on both sides including customers, distributors, strategic partnerships as well as offering a European presence to Colorado companies including joint projects, joint ventures, technology licensing opportunities and contract manufacture among other types of partnerships. Since opening in November, 2003, the Northern Ireland Technology and Development Center has brokered approximately $40 million in business partnerships between Northern Ireland and Colorado entities in sectors such as Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Aerospace, Energy, Software, Telecommunications, Sustainable Development, Natural Resources and Engineering. The Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Denver is part of the network of German Government representation in the United States which includes the German Embassy in Washington DC, eight German Consulates General and thirty six German Honorary Consuls. While the Embassy is responsible for the overall bilateral relationship between Germany and the United States, the Consulates General and the Honorary Consuls operate in specific regions in the United States. The Honorary Consul Office in Denver is responsible for developing public diplomacy and science and technology relationships within Colorado and Wyoming. The Rocky Mountain Chapter is one of 19 chapters of the French-American Chamber of Commerce in the U.S. It is an independent, non-profit, member-driven organization with the goal of promoting awareness of the French-American Business Community and developing commercial exchange, trade and investment between France and the United States in the Rocky Mountain region. To achieve this goal, we provide related services to the business community. The Chamber organizes business networking events to bring members together in the spirit of establishing contacts and “podium” programs featuring experts in fields relevant to French-American business. It serves as the catalyst organization to connect, coordinate, facilitate, promote, and educate individuals and companies that are involved in French-American business.
