The Colorado BioScience Association is the bioscience industry association for Colorado. CBSA works to provide leadership in the development of statewide and regional plans for the growth of bioscience in Colorado, to facilitate partnerships among member institutions and companies, to further the development of a premier bioscience cluster in Colorado and to serve as an effective and persuasive voice for CBSA constituents. CBSA is also affiliated with the national Biotechnology Industry Organization.

CBSA offers numerous opportunities available only to members to participate in activities which promote a strong bioscience industry.

Influence

Working within a single organization, Colorado’s bioscience industry is able to present a single voice on important policy matters at the state and federal levels. Members of the association work to develop positions on fiscal, regulatory, science, health care, and ethics issues which are conveyed with a single voice to decision-makers, including elected officials. The media and the public are encouraged to access CBSA's Information Resources in order to better understand the industry and its contributions to Colorado.

Workforce

Ensuring a sufficient supply of skilled professionals is one of our top priorities. CBSA is working directly with the leadership of the State’s executive branch agencies to address policies on workforce issues. We are working with universities and community colleges to ensure a strong workforce is coming through the state’s educational pipeline.

Programs and Events

CBSA sponsors networking events, educational seminars, informational forums on topics relevant to this industry. These events are offered primarily in the Front Range area. Many of these programs are available only to CBSA members.
