The Colorado BioScience Association (CBSA) committees offer opportunities to become involved in a range of efforts to support the mission of the organization and connect with your colleagues in the industry. Get involved and stay connected!


Responsible for promoting the industry by placing positive news stories with international, national, trade and local media contacts; publishing the annual Bioscience Colorado magazine; and promoting CBSA activities and initiatives via social media networks.

The program advisory teams serves the Colorado BioScience Institute.  The Institute provides educational activities and opportunities for students, educators, and companies to enhance Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education, workforce development, and awareness for the bioscience industry in Colorado.

Colorado BioScience Institute Advisory teams:

  • Research Experience for Teacher (RET) Advisory Team – Act as an advisor and advocate to the RET program, helping recruit new companies, advocating to colleagues regarding the RET host experience and company value add, advise on sustainability models for the program, advisory board for potential federal grants, etc.
  • Mentor & Higher Education Program Advisory Team – Act as an advisor and advocate for our undergrad/graduate programs, including but not limited to the undergrad Mentor Program and the Life Science Industry Showcase and potential exploration of PhD company internship programs in the future
  • Fundraising Advisory Team – Act as an advisor and advocate for our Life Science Community fundraising efforts: Colorado Gives Day, Silent Auction, Brewery Networking Events, etc.
  • Executive Leadership Advisory Team – Act as an advisor and advocate for the Executive Leadership Program, helping recruit mentors and participants annually, and advising on ways in which to sustain and potentially grow the program.
  • Workforce Training Advisory Team – Act as an advisor and advocate for the Institute’s Workforce Training Programs; making new connections to potential trainings, offering suggestions for trainings to be considered, etc.

Government Relations and Public Affairs

Responsible for advocacy, outreach and education to Colorado’s elected officials, state and federal governmental agencies and the media.

Programs and Events

Responsible for developing over 50 events, including symposiums, seminars, forums and other educational programs that meet specific information needs of the industry. Develops programs that inform broader audiences about the importance and value of the biosciences industry in Colorado.
